Weddings at Orpheus can be as formal or as informal as you desire. Your special day can be tailored to suit your individual needs and budget.
Imagine beginning your new life together by celebrating your wedding day on an exclusive tropical island resort offering the ultimate in tranquillity, privacy and seclusion.
Your arrival is truly spectacular. After your scenic flight touches down on the clear blue waters surrounding the resort, you are greeted with a welcome cocktail and escorted to your haven for the duration of your stay. Awaiting you will be a welcome bottle of sparkling wine, a tropical fruit platter and a chocolate and nut basket.
The setting for your special day can be decided once you have viewed the resort and grounds. The options are varied - from the end of the pier, on the beach at sunset, by the poolside, in the open-air restaurant, or under a lush green palm tree fanned by cool ocean breezes..
The ceremony is truly memorable. Your wedding celebrant will create a ceremony specifically tailored for you and your partner, ensuring your memories last lifetime.
The wedding cake can be made to order to suit your individual taste and budget. Choices range from the traditional iced fruit cake to a chocolate mud cake.
The wedding flowers can also be arranged, depending on your requirements and can feature a bouquet for the bride, buttonhole for the groom and table arrangement.
Special memories are yours for life as our staff are more than happy to operate your personal camera or video. Alternatively, a professional camera person can be brought from the mainland and a quote provided for you.
The wedding dinner will be an evening to remember. Indulge in a seven-course degustation menu that is sure to take your taste buds on a gastronomic tour, whilst privately dining with the tides. Or alternatively, enjoy a decadent tropical seafood platter in the privacy of your own room whilst listening to the soothing sounds of soft background music of your choice.

Requirements for marriage within Australia:
· Bride & groom must be over the age of 18 years.
· "Australian Form Number 13" - NOTICE OF INTENDED MARRIAGE must be obtained from Australian Consulate.
· Notice must be given one month and one day prior to the intended marriage. The marriage celebrant or Australian Consulate Office will advise this procedure.
· You will need to provide to the Celebrant a current passport and birth certificate.
· If clients are Australian citizens living overseas, a birth certificate and proof of Australian citizenship is required.
