Although all care is taken, unfortunately Orpheus cannot accept responsibility for any expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of adverse weather conditions, any domestic or international flight delays, reschedules or alterations and any mechanical failures. It is recommended that guests take out travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances. Helicopter transfers to/from Orpheus are operated by a third party (Nautilus Aviation). Once a reservation on Orpheus has been made, it’s mandatory for guests to supply their individual body weights (kg) to confirm helicopter transfers to/from Orpheus. Each helicopter is subject to certain payload restrictions. Should your combined weight exceed 200kg (2 x passengers weight and luggage), an additional surcharge will be applicable. On the day of transfer, passengers are also restricted to one small bag, to a maximum of 15kg in total.
Prize winners are entitled to respective allocated accommodation (upgrades accepted at an additional charge to the winner), helicopter transfers between Townsville and Orpheus at scheduled daily flight times (private charters at an additional charge to the winner), all gourmet meals, complimentary inclusion of selected Australian wines and beers, a daily Orpheus ‘experience’ and unlimited use of water equipment. Vouchers cannot be used during event periods, block-out dates apply (wet season and school holiday periods) and all redemptions are subject to availability. Stays are non-transferable and non-redeemable for cash. Standard Orpheus cancellation policies apply.
