Discover a world below at the Museum of Underwater Art
The Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) is the first-ever underwater museum and art gallery in the Southern Hemisphere.
It focuses on the restoration and conservation of the Great Barrier Reef, sharing stories of the reef alongside educational exhibits on the First Nations people.
MOUA provides a truly unique experience under the waters of North Queensland. Its sculptural installations, about 80 kilometres off the coast, have been created by world-famous underwater sculptor Jason deCaires Taylor. They capture the beauty, culture and history of the reef while sharing the need for its protection.
